About the Host Organization

Legal Rights Forum (LRF) is a registered non-profit and non- governmental organization working since 2007, formerly registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in Karachi, KAR NO. 0076 of 2011-12 on January 13, 2012. Guided by Gender Equity and Human Rights principles and approaches, LRF envisions a Democratic, socially Just, Peaceful, Empowered and Inclusive society wherein all citizens, especially women, children, youth, minorities, transgender and persons with disabilities may live under equal protection of law, self-respect and dignity. LRF strives for Rule of Law, Access to Justice, Sustainable Development and works towards eradicating anomalies in the prevailing legislative framework. LRF advocates for improvement in laws, policies and practices; so, they can be brought into the conformity with international standards and commitments.
